Eesti SEJ 330kV switchgear is one of the most important substations in the country and the reliability of Estonian electrical system depends on its technical state. This is because 330 kV power lines which supply Western and Southern Estonia and Tallinn with electricity are connected to it. The substation also has a significant role in the matter of transit, as it connects Russian and Latvian grids through 330kV overhead lines.
All existing devices that are depreciated will be replaced during renovation and new control building will be built. In addition to the switchgear renovation belonging to Elering, the contract includes building new bays for production equipment for Eesti Energia Narva Power Plants.
